Liquid Transport, a Dana Company, is seeking a part-time Employee Health Navigator & Leave Specialist (16–24 hrs/week) to guide employees through healthcare benefits, reference-based pricing, and multi-state leave programs.
This role is ideal for someone who values focused, meaningful part-time work. We need an expert: highly organized, detail-oriented, confident navigating complex leave programs, and able to communicate clearly - even in difficult conversations. Empathy, professionalism, and discretion with sensitive information are essential.
Key Responsibilities of the Employee Health Navigator & Leave Specialist:
- Employee Support & Advocacy: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee healthcare and leave questions. Guide employees through benefits navigation, connect with insurance representatives and healthcare resources, and assist with provider selection.
- Education & Engagement: Lead workshops, orientations, and provide materials to simplify benefits and promote cost-conscious healthcare choices.
- Leave Administration & Compliance: Manage FMLA, ADA, STD/LTD, and other leave programs. Monitor eligibility, certifications, and return-to-work plans while maintaining confidentiality.
- Vendor & Internal Coordination: Partner with HR, payroll, benefits vendors, and leadership to resolve complex cases.
- Data Tracking & Improvement: Maintain detailed records of employee interactions, issues raised, resolutions provided, and outcomes achieved. Analyze trends to improve wellness programs, benefits navigation, and cost-containment initiatives.
Qualifications of the Employee Health Navigator & Leave Specialist:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, or related field required.
- Professional certifications (SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP, CEBS, CBP) a plus.
- Minimum 2 years’ HR experience with a focus on benefits and leave administration, including multi-state leave programs.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in healthcare navigation, patient advocacy, or benefits administration.
- Knowledge of health insurance concepts required; knowledge of reference-based pricing and self-funded plans a plus.
- Experience with HRIS, benefits administration platforms, and payroll systems.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of empathy, professionalism, and discretion with sensitive information.
- Experience with healthcare navigation vendors (e.g., Imagine360) preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Willing to travel up to 5% of the time a plus.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
Schedule & Hours:
- 16–24 hours per week, varying based on organizational needs and seasonal demand
- 1 in-office day per week
- 1 consistent evening shift per week
- 3 hours on one weekend day per month
- Evening and weekend shifts are set at regular, recurring times to ensure continuity of care for employees
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly Pay Rate: $34 to $38
