Dana’s Breads is a family-owned artisan bakery specializing in naturally fermented sourdough breads, handcrafted pastries, specialty coffee, beer, wine, artisan pizza, and community events.
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Artisan Bread Baker to join our growing team.
This is a hands-on position focused on mixing, fermentation, shaping, proofing, and baking naturally leavened breads. The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, consistency, and producing exceptional products every day.
What You’ll do
- Mix and develop doughs according to established formulas
- Manage sourdough starters and fermentation schedules
- Scale, divide, pre-shape, and shape artisan breads
- Monitor fermentation, proofing, and baking processes
- Bake breads to meet our quality and consistency standards
- Assist with production planning and inventory management
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
- Work closely with ownership and the production team to continuously improve quality and efficiency

Qualifications
- Previous professional baking experience required
- Experience with sourdough fermentation strongly preferred
- Understanding of baker's percentages, dough development, hydration, and fermentation
- Ability to work independently and maintain production schedules
- Strong attention to detail and product consistency
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Bonus Experience
- High-volume bread production
- Deck oven operation
- Dough sheeters, dividers, and bakery equipment
- Production planning and inventory management
- Training or mentoring other bakers
