What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student Information Systems (SIS) Database Manager position at Dana Hall School?
Dana Hall School seeks candidates for the position of Student Information Systems (SIS) Database Manager. The individual in this position will be accountable for:
- Working collaboratively with the Dana Hall community to ensure the ongoing maintenance of accurate information within DanaConnect (Blackbaud’s Education Management platform)
- Importing, managing and entering data in DanaConnect related to students in grades 5-12 and providing status updates to relevant departments
- Ensuring seamless integration between DanaConnect and other systems, applications and platforms to maintain accurate data flow
- Providing user support and training for DanaConnect, including troubleshooting issues, assisting families with access (usernames and passwords), and developing documentation such as standard operating procedures, FAQs and training materials
- Serving as the DanaConnect support specialist, fostering effective and efficient use across all audiences
- Surveying, supporting and educating users and departments across campus to enhance their use of DanaConnect and the overall user experience
- Serving on the Campus Data Group, interdepartmental teams working collaboratively to foster and support the use of technology at Dana Hall
- Managing and implementing master rollover each academic year (terms, grade plans, report cards, classes, student promotions, etc.)
- Creating, managing and distributing lists in DanaConnect and Finalsite for multiple users, ensuring accuracy and accessibility
- Collaborating with the Admission and Advancement Offices to integrate new, returning and former student and new parent records across DanaConnect and related systems
- Staying current with relevant Blackbaud product enhancements and ongoing developments to inform best practices
Candidates must have: a bachelor’s degree, work experience in data management, technical knowledge of data management systems and processes, and experience with Blackbaud solutions.

Candidates must be able to remain seated for extended periods of time.
This is a 12-month, full-time position reporting to the Director of Information Systems.
