What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fuel Delivery Driver position at Dan's Oil Incorporated?
Established in 1984, we are a 2nd generation, family owned fuel delivery company.
We are looking for a motivated, detail oriented candidate to become part of our team.
The candidate must be reliable, and able to have good judgement and decision making skills.
The candidate must have:
- class B CDL with tanker And hazmat endorsements (X)
- up to date DOT health card
- a minimum of 2 years experience delivering fuel. (preferred but willing to train the right person)
- clean driving record
This is a full time Position. Pay is between $27-$30 an hour based off of experience and skill level. There will be Saturday work days. Depending on scheduling you will be given a day off during the week and need to work the Saturday, or If it is too busy and we need you all week and on Saturday then Saturday will be overtime.
The candidate is responsible for following the laws of the road and operating the oil truck in a safe, caring manner.
Responsibilities of this job include:
loading truck compartments with fuel, via manhole cover on top of truck at our wholesaler.
Communicating with the office dispatchers via cb radio to receive delivery addresses and information.
backing up driveways safely and slowly at customers property.
making responsible, smart decisions whether or not to attempt a delivery based off of driveway condition (example: too snowy, icy, muddy, etc.)
verifying delivery with customer and collecting payment.
setting meter and pulling hose to fill pipe to make safe delivery of fuel.
keeping track of amount of fuel on truck, after each delivery.
navigating the best route from one delivery to the next.
- inspecting pipes and tanks for safety
- priming boilers and furnaces in situations when customers have ran out of fuel.
There will be a pre employment physical and drug test.

Pay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour
