Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our team. Looking for an Journeyman or and experienced Apprentice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, including both low and high voltage applications. This role requires a thorough understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and the ability to work effectively in commercial settings. As an Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards.
Duties
- Work with Master Electrician
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in commercial buildings.
- Work on Wastewater and water treatment facilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Utilize hand tools and testing equipment such as voltmeters, ammeters, and ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Ensure all installations comply with NEC standards and local regulations.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or malfunctions.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction projects to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Perform frame carpentry as needed to support electrical installations.
- Document work performed and maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Electrician in a commercial setting.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including low voltage and high voltage applications.
- Familiarity with NEC regulations and safety standards.
- Proficient in using hand tools and electrical testing equipment (voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters).
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Relevant certifications or licenses as required by local regulations.
