Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Violin Teacher to join our educational team. Position expected to begin with the Fall school semester. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching multiple genres of violin music, ranging from pop/rock, jazz, and classical. They will have proven experience teaching students of all ages and demonstrate a passion for teaching. Ideally they will have completed at least a Bachelor's in Music from an accredited University. This role involves creating a positive learning environment, developing curriculum, and fostering the growth of students in music. The Violin Teacher will work collaboratively with staff and parents to support the educational needs of all students regardless of creed or ability.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet curriculum standards.
- Manage student relationships effectively to create a conducive learning environment.
- Educate students with adaptive teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
- Prepare students for performance in seasonal recitals.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, concerns, and make scheduling easeful.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational trends.
- Receive once per term lesson observations by the Director, ensuring high standards of teaching and philosophy alignment are maintained.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field is preferred.
- Demonstrable mastery or professional expertise in music.
- Experience working with children in an educational setting is essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Familiarity with curriculum development processes is highly desirable.
- Experience in special education or working with neurodivergent learners is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.
- A genuine passion for educating and nurturing students' growth.

- Successful interviewees will be scheduled to perform a trial lesson (paid) to assess teaching ability prior to a job offer.
