Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the HR Specialist will play a vital role in shaping the employee experience—from onboarding and engagement to performance evaluations and reporting—while helping drive innovation and continuous improvement across the HR function. Key Responsibilities Own and maintain HR standard operating procedures (SOPs): create, document, update and ensure compliance with processes across the employee lifecycle. Manage orientation and onboarding for all new employees: coordinate scheduling, training sessions, paperwork, system access, welcome communications, and ensure a smooth start for every new hire. Recruitment support: maintain and update job descriptions, manage job postings, review and screen resumes, coordinate interviews, track pipeline and provide status reports. Employee engagement: serve as HR point-of-contact for employees on general‐HR matters, check in with employees routinely, escalate when needed, track and report on engagement metrics or issues. Performance evaluations: manage and administer the performance review process, maintain review calendars, facilitate manager/employee deadlines, generate reminders and ensure completion. Reporting & analytics: produce accurate HR data and insights on a weekly, monthly, quarterly basis directly to the COO. Continuous improvement: identify opportunities to enhance HR operations and employee experience. Bring ideas and proposed solutions to the COO for review and implementation. Serve as HR liaison to the COO: assist in special HR projects, policy updates, employee communications, and collaborate with HR team to ensure alignment and consistency across the HR function. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university. Minimum of 2 years HR experience in a professional environment; exposure to full employee lifecycle preferred. Hands-on experience with ADP (particularly ADP Workforce Now) HRIS system is strongly preferred. Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, able to maintain multiple tasks/projects with competing deadlines. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build trust with employees at all levels. Ability to analyze HR data, prepare reports, identify trends and present findings. Innovative mindset — comfortable identifying process improvements, working proactively, bringing ideas forward. High confidentiality and professional integrity; strong sense of accountability. Comfortable working in person in the Orlando office; collaborative team player while also able to work independently. Familiarity with HR best practices (onboarding, recruiting, employee relations, performance management) and employment laws/regulations is desirable.
