The Role
The Associate Director of Corporate Communications is a utility player that will contribute to all facets of a foundational corporate communications program. This includes brand communications, digital and social media strategy, media relations, and internal communications. Operating in a lean biotech environment, this position requires a nimble mindset and high learning aptitude, prior in-house or agency communications experience within biopharma and an ability to strategically collaborate with executives, cross-functional partners and external vendors. This role has high potential for development and career advancement as we grow and our corporate communications needs become more complex. The role reports to the Chief Corporate Affairs Officer.
What You’ll Do
Brand Communications
- Assist in the continued development of the company’s new corporate brand, including the full build-out of a corporate strategic message platform and visual identity
- Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues to identify and fulfill brand communication needs, such as corporate, congress and clinical trial materials
- Lead internal project management around brand communication strategy and materials, and be a primary contact for our external brand agency partner
Digital and Social Media Strategy
- Lead project management and contribute to content strategy and development of a new corporate website
- Own and advance the company’s social media strategy and platforms to effectively engage key stakeholder groups
- Be a primary contact for digital/social media agency partners
Media Relations
- Help to define and advance a foundational media relations strategy to begin to introduce Damora Therapeutics more broadly, including opportunities for executive visibility and thought leadership
- Implement and own routine, efficient media and social media monitoring, contributing to ongoing competitive intelligence and business planning
Internal Communications
- Partner with executive leadership and human resources to execute our internal communications and engagement strategy, supporting company meetings, cultural events and activities, and other employee communications
- Help to define employee communication and collaboration strategies and tools, partnering with information technology to optimize information sharing, productivity and experience (e.g., Teams, SharePoint and a future potential intranet platform)
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in a communication- or life science-related field
- >5 years of experience in an in-house or agency communications role within biopharma
- Exceptional written communication skills
- High aptitude for learning complex scientific and technical information and translating into effective written and visual communication
- Proven ability to operate independently in a complex, fast-moving work environment; prior experience working in or with a start-up biotech a plus
- Highly collaborative, with prior experience working with a variety of functional leaders within a biopharma company, and an ability to influence effectively without authority
- Proficient with PowerPoint and key AI platforms (e.g., Claude, Canva, etc.) relevant for corporate communications
