Shelby Baker, DVM is looking for new additions to the team at Damonte Ranch Animal Hospital in South Reno!
We are currently seeking Veterinary Receptionists who are passionate about animal care and committed to providing exceptional service to both patients and their families.
About Our Practice
Damonte Ranch Animal Hospital is a privately owned, 4,000-square-foot veterinary facility that opened in South Reno in June 2011. Our team is dedicated to delivering the highest quality medical, surgical, and dental care while building strong relationships with our clients and their pets.

We are a fast-paced hospital open 5 days a week, supported by a collaborative and dedicated veterinary team.
What We’re Looking For
We are searching for someone who is:

- Passionate about excellent patient care and client service
- Efficient in handling clerical
Previous veterinary experience is preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities may include:
- Greet clients and their pets in a friendly, compassionate, and professional mann
- Answer phone calls and emails, provide accurate information and direct inquiries appropriately
- Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments using practice management software
- Check patients in and out, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date
- Maintain and organize medical records, forms, and client information
- Process payments, invoices, and estimates; handle cash, credit, and insurance transactions
- Communicate clearly with veterinarians and technicians to coordinate patient care and workflow
- Provide clients with instructions, reminders, and general education as directed by medical staff
- Keep the reception and waiting areas clean, organized, and welcoming
- Monitor appointment flow and assist in minimizing wait times
- Handle sensitive situations with empathy, including emergencies and end-of-life visits
- Manage inventory of front-desk supplies and assist with ordering as needed
- Follow clinic policies, safety procedures, and confidentiality standards
- Perform general administrative duties such as filing, scanning, and data entry
- Capable of lifting and handling animals or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
