Position: Medical Scribe

Specialty: Internal Medicine, Preventive Medicine & Rehabilitation

Start Date: Spring 2026

Location: Office located in the Palisades

Schedule: Full days (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM) on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for a minimum of one full year, including the summer

Starting hourly wage: $18.50 per hour

About the Role:

Dr. Damon B. Raskin, a respected Internal Medicine Practitioner specializing in Preventive

Medicine and Rehabilitation, is seeking a dedicated Medical Scribe to join his team. This is an

ideal opportunity for individuals in their gap year who are eager to gain hands-on clinical

experience in a fast-paced medical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Real-Time Documentation: Accurately transcribe and document patient encounters,

medical histories, and treatment plans into the electronic medical record (EMR) system,

ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards.

Chart Preparation & Updates: Assist with clinical documentation by preparing and

updating patient charts, coordinating labs, and recording physical assessment findings.

Patient Care Support: Enhance patient care efficiency by documenting lab result

follow-ups, and maintaining professionalism and discretion in a sensitive healthcare

environment.

Qualifications:

Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a clinical setting.

Experience with or willingness to learn electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

Commitment to the position’s schedule and responsibilities for at least one full year.

Prior experience in a medical setting or familiarity with medical terminology is preferred

but not required.
