Duties
- Support lead teachers in planning and implementing lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards such as Montessori or preschool frameworks
- Assist with classroom management to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for children of diverse backgrounds and abilities
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to children with special needs, including those with autism or disabilities, ensuring they receive personalized attention
- Help facilitate activities that promote literacy education, numeracy skills, and social-emotional development
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, nap times, and outdoor activities to ensure safety and well-being
- Assist with classroom organization, including preparing materials and maintaining a clean learning space
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about children’s progress and behavior in a professional manner
- Support behavior management strategies that encourage positive interactions and emotional regulation among students
- Contribute to curriculum development by suggesting new activities that enhance learning experiences for toddlers, preschoolers, or early learners
- Participate in ongoing training related to childhood development, classroom management techniques, or specialized teaching methods such as Montessori
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, private school settings or similar environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles, including childhood development stages and behavior management strategies
- Experience with special education needs, including working with children with autism or disabilities is a plus
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and team members
- Ability to implement lesson plans focused on literacy education, math skills, and overall curriculum goals
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques that foster positive behavior and social skills
- Experience working with people with disabilities or in inclusive classrooms is advantageous
- Knowledge of Montessori methods or toddler care practices is desirable
- Demonstrated ability to organize activities for young children and adapt to their individual needs
