**Job Summary:** We are seeking a dedicated Bakery Clerk to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and have experience working in a bakery or grocery store setting. The Bakery Clerk will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the bakery, ensuring a clean and safe environment, and providing exceptional service to our customers. **Responsibilities:** - Manage the bakery area, including preparing and displaying baked goods, maintaining cleanliness, and sanitizing equipment and surfaces. - Operate a cash register, handling customer transactions, and processing payments accurately. - Assist with inventory management, including stocking shelves and receiving deliveries. - Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions, and making recommendations to drive sales. - Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including bussing tables and cleaning up spills. - Upsell products and offer specials to increase sales and drive revenue. - Work effectively as part of a team, communicating with colleagues to ensure seamless operations. - Stay up-to-date on product knowledge and promotions to inform customers and drive sales. - Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the bakery and customer service areas. **Qualifications:** - Previous experience in a bakery or grocery store setting. - Excellent customer service skills. - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. - Strong time management skills to manage multiple tasks at once. - Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures. - Familiarity with cash register operations and customer transactions. - Ability to lift and move heavy objects, and stand for extended periods. - Basic knowledge of the food industry and baking processes. - Experience with bussing tables and maintaining a clean kitchen environment. - Ability to upsell products and offer specials to drive sales. - High school diploma or equivalent required. - Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
