The transportation liaison will operate and maintain vehicle(s) with a focus on safety, customer courtesy, and patient confidentiality.
Requirements
The transportation liaison will operate and maintain vehicle(s) with a focus on safety, customer courtesy, and patient confidentiality.
- Must be able to respond to emergencies during transport promptly and arrange for appropriate dispatch of emergency responders.
- Will work closely with Health Center Leadership to facilitate the scheduling of transportation services at Damian Family Care Center’s community organizations with a focus on identifying those who have restricted/depleted access to primary health care within the communities we serve.
- Responsibilities include coordinating, expediting and transporting, as applicable, residential clients between collaborative partners and Damian Family Care Centers, Inc.
- Supports the mission and philosophy of Damian Family Care Centers, Inc.
Requirements
- Minimum requirements for this position are:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must be 21 years of age or older; in good health and have at least three (3) years of driving experience.
- Must have a valid New York State Driver’s license and possess a safe driving record.
- Able to read and interpret road signs in English.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both oral and written.
- Must be willing to submit to alcohol/drug screening, if required by employer
- Must be willing to work flexible hours when required.
- Defensive Driving Certificate and First Aid training preferred.
- Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus.
