Job Title: Trade& Supply Chain Consultant

Role Overview
Trade & Supply Chain Consultant to advise on best practices for trade operations, data governance, KPI frameworks, and reporting workflows supporting AR/VR consumer electronics supply chains.
This role will focus on improving trade metric design, workflow standardization, and reporting governance — ensuring consistent, audit-ready, and decision-useful visibility across global sourcing, manufacturing, and distribution operations.
The consultant will provide structured guidance on how trade and supply chain data should be governed, measured, and reported across systems and teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Trade Operations Best Practice
- Advise on standard trade workflows across classification, country-of-origin management, FTA utilization, and customs documentation.
- Recommend governance structures for trade data ownership and stewardship.
- Support alignment of trade processes with global compliance requirements.
- Identify gaps in current trade reporting and control frameworks.
2. Data Governance Framework
- Define best-practice data governance model for trade and supply chain data.
- Recommend standardized definitions for key data elements (HTS, ECCN, COO, BOM traceability, supplier hierarchy).
- Establish KPI ownership and metric governance structure.
- Advise on data quality controls, audit processes, and exception management workflows.
- Promote single source of truth principles across ERP, GTM, PLM, and reporting tools.
3. KPI & Metric Framework Design
Advise on structured KPI architecture across:
Trade Metrics
- Tariff exposure tracking
- Duty spend visibility
- FTA utilization rate
- Classification coverage and accuracy
- Customs documentation completeness
Supply Chain Metrics (Trade-Linked)
- Supplier concentration risk indicators
- Country dependency exposure
- Dual-source coverage
- Trade-related cycle times
- Compliance incident tracking
Responsibilities include defining:
- Clear metric definitions and calculation logic
- Reporting cadences (operational vs. executive)
- Thresholds and escalation triggers
- Metric ownership and review governance
4. Reporting & Workflow Advisory
- Recommend tiered reporting structure (operational dashboards, leadership summaries, compliance reports).
- Advise on dashboard design principles and executive-level visualization best practices.
- Align trade workflows with reporting requirements to reduce manual reconciliation.
- Support documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for reporting and governance.
Required Experience
- 4–7 years of experience in global trade, supply chain operations, or trade advisory.
- Practical understanding of trade compliance processes and enterprise reporting environments.
- Experience designing KPI frameworks and governance models.
- Strong cross-functional communication skills.
