We are a faith-based academic institution in need of a preschool director to oversee the operations and activities for infants, toddlers, and young children. The responsibilities include staff management, program development, and other administrative duties like budgeting and maintenance. Other duties include providing tours and informational sessions for the parents of prospective students, recruiting and hiring staff, evaluating teachers and other staff, and ensuring a safe environment for children to learn and play.
The person in this position will need to know how to rally her employees together as a team. A Director must feel comfortable and confident in this leadership position, understanding how to obtain and maintain reverence amongst employees while fostering good rapport. While it can be understandably unpleasant, a person in this position must not be afraid of making hard decisions and enforcing rules/regulations.
Lastly, yet most importantly, a Director at our institution must know the Lord God and have a living relationship with Him. This relationship is important as it will help guide the Director's behavior, responses, and decision-making. Christ is at the center of everything we do here at Dalton. It is important that it be demonstrate in our policies and procedures.
