Dallas Trailer Repair Co. is seeking a skilled Semi-Trailer Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of semi-trailers. The ideal candidate will have experience with trailer systems, preventive maintenance, and DOT inspections, along with a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on dry vans, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, and other trailer types.
- Repair brakes, suspension systems, wheel ends, lighting, electrical systems, doors, roofs, and trailer structures.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
- Troubleshoot and repair air systems and trailer-related mechanical issues.
- Complete work orders and repair documentation accurately.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Requirements:
- Previous trailer repair or heavy-duty mechanical experience preferred.
- Knowledge of trailer brake, suspension, air, electrical, and structural systems.
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Own tools and toolbox preferred.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass a background check, drug test, and physical.
