Refrigeration/Diesel TechnicianEssential Duties & Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair transport refrigeration units, trucks, trailers, and related equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance according to manufacturer specifications.
- Repair electrical, starting, charging, cooling, and refrigeration systems.
- Complete repairs such as leak detection, compressor replacement, refrigerant line soldering, and component replacement.
- Inspect equipment, identify faulty parts, and use diagnostic tools as needed.
- Maintain accurate repair documentation.
- Keep tools, vehicles, and work areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Work effectively with team members and perform other assigned duties.
- 1 years of transport refrigeration, diesel, or related mechanical experience preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required; vocational or trade school training preferred.
- ASE certifications are a plus.
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and attention to detail.
- Must pass pre-employment testing, background check, and drug screening.
- Must own required tools and steel-toed work boots.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in heat, cold, and confined spaces.
- Ability to climb ladders and access trailer roofs and interiors.
- Ability to pass a physical examination.
