Job Summary: Bridgeport Elementary is a small, rural school, yet close to the cities of Dallas and Monmouth. We are seeking a teacher who can create a positive and engaging learning environment for young students, and who will build foundational skills in reading, writing, math, science, and social studies while promoting creativity, critical thinking.Why Bridgeport Elementary School?Small school, small class sizeFull time assistant in each class, K-5Four-day school and work weekPositive and innovative school cultureSupportive administrator and school boardCompetitive salary and benefitsKey Responsibilities: 1.Instructional Planning & Delivery: Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with the schools curriculum and state standards.Teach subjects including, but not limited to, reading, writing, math, science, and social studies.Use a variety of teaching methods and materials to engage diverse learners, including hands-on activities, technology, and group work.Assess and monitor student progress through quizzes, tests, projects, and other formative assessments.2.Classroom Management: Create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel respected and valued.Establish and maintain clear rules and expectations for behavior.Use positive reinforcement techniques to encourage good behavior and address challenges.3.Individualized Support: Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students, including those with different learning abilities.Provide one-on-one support or small group instruction as needed.Identify students who may need additional support and collaborate with specialists or parents to address learning or behavioral challenges.4.Collaboration: Work closely with fellow teachers, administrators, and staff to enhance the learning experience.Regular attendance at data team meetings, PLCs and monthly meetingsCommunicate regularly with parents about student progress and concerns.Participate in parent-teacher conferences, school meetings, and professional development opportunities.5.Assessments & Reporting: Track and document student progress regularly.Attend data team meetings.Use assessment data to adjust teaching methods and curriculum as needed.Qualifications: Education: A bachelors degree in education, and appropriate TSPC Oregon teaching license.Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage a classroom effectively. Knowledge of Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) strategies highly desirable.
