They also maintain equipment, adhere to quality and safety protocols, record patient data, and collaborate with other departments to ensure effective patient care.
Shift’s Available: Days (3:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m.)

Hours: 10 hour shifts 3:00 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. 7 on/7 off

Phlebotomy Tech III Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
- P repar e patients for blood draws, explain procedures, and ensur e patient comfort and safety throughout the process
- R esponsible for correct blood c ollection , d raw blood from patients using venipuncture, capillary puncture, or other techniques ; ensure proper identification and labeling of specimens
- O rganize , handl e , and transport specimens to the laboratory for testing, ensur e all specimens are properly processed and stored
- A dher e to quality control and safety protocols to maintain the integrity of specimens and ensure accurate test results
- M aintain and calibrat e phlebotomy equipment and supplies, ensur e everything is in working order and properly sanitized
- P erform more complex or specialized phlebotomy procedures as required , often with minimal supervision
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
- High School Diploma, or equivalent, required
- Current and valid state certification as a CPT required.
- Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Minimum 3 year clinical laboratory experience required
