We are seeking a n Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) , also referred to as an Emergency Response Technician or First Responder in our Sporting KC Department . As an EMT you will work for our hospital and support Sporting Kansas City (Sporting KC) , ensuring the health and safety of athletes, staff, and spectators during sporting events. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PRN as needed.

Hours: 12 hour shifts - 7:00am to 7:00pm
Location: Dallas Regional Medical Center – Mesquite, TX

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
- Emergency Response: Assess and manage medical, trauma, and environmental emergencies under the supervision of nursing staff and physicians.
- Patient Care Assistance: Assist with patient care based on individual needs within the EMT's scope of practice.
- Safety Maintenance: Ensure a safe environment for patients and staff by adhering to established protocols and procedures
- Collaboration: Work under the direction of the Emergency Department Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse to deliver coordinated care
- Responsibility: assess and provid e basic management of medical, trauma, and environmental emergencies under the supervision of nursing and physician staff
- Assist with patient care : help maintain a safe environment, and operate under the direction of the Emergency Room Department
Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for new hires effective April 2014.
- Basic EMT Training or E.R. experience required.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Current PALS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Certified/Licensed EMT by the state certifying agency/entity required.
