The Role
The Senior Vice President of Communications, Marketing & Events is a senior leader responsible for advancing and protecting the Dallas Regional Chamber’s brand through an integrated communications and marketing strategy that fuels high-impact events, strengthens thought leadership, and supports revenue growth.
This role leads a unified Communications, Marketing & Events team, ensuring that storytelling, design, digital strategy, and experiences work together to amplify the DRC’s mission and strategic priorities. The SVP will balance strategic vision with operational excellence, positioning the DRC as the leading voice for business in the Dallas Region.
Reporting Structure
This individual reports to and works in close partnership with the Executive Vice President.

Key Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Strategic Brand & Organizational Alignment
- Execute an integrated communications, marketing, and events strategy aligned with the DRC’s strategic plan.
- Ensure content and storytelling drive marketing campaigns and event programming.
- Partner with the EVP to steward and evolve the DRC brand across all platforms.
- Align messaging across departments to ensure clarity, consistency, and strategic relevance.
Communications & Executive Messaging
- Lead proactive and reactive media relations, including crisis communications planning and response.
- Develop media and message recommendations in collaboration with the EVP and President & CEO.
- Support executive communications, including speeches, talking points, presentations, and strategic messaging.
- Provide messaging support across departments to ensure alignment and quality.
Marketing, Digital & Audience Growth
- Lead a digital-first, data-driven marketing strategy that advances awareness, engagement, and revenue.
- Oversee website, social media, email marketing, and paid promotion efforts.
- Establish and monitor KPIs to measure performance and optimize impact.
Website Content Creation & Digital Publishing
- Lead the content strategy for the DRC and affiliate websites to elevate the DRC brand and strategic priorities.
- Partner with departments to translate programs, events, and initiatives into clear, engaging digital content.
- Maintain website content standards to ensure accuracy, consistency, accessibility, and strong user experience.
- Monitor website performance and user engagement metrics to inform content improvements and digital strategy.
Events & Brand Experience
- Ensure DRC events advance strategic priorities and reinforce brand positioning.
- Integrate communications, sponsorship value, and digital promotion into event strategy.
- Partner with the VP of Events to deliver high-quality experiences that elevate thought leadership and visibility.
- Bachelor’s degree required and five to eight years related experience and/or training.
- Master’s degree or other professional degree preferred.
- Professional and comprehensive experience in an applicable field and/or with an organization that is similar in mission and activities to the DRC.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Oversees the Communications, Marketing & Events teams, with Vice Presidents of each area directly reporting.
