The Role
This role will serve as the primary lead in servicing the Tier I & Tier II Members and enhancing the membership engagement strategy across all levels of investors, inclusive of Board and Tomorrow Fund high-impact executives, in alignment with the office of the CEO. The individual in this position will work with existing members to communicate the value of membership; opportunities for engagement in DRC programs; and identify and address any needs and concerns. This outreach will provide the DRC with the opportunity to increase renewal of investments and cross-sell and upsell additional engagement and investment opportunities. This role will work hand in hand with key Directors on the team, including the sponsorship program by proactively identifying opportunities and needs across the DRC, as well as companies who would benefit from these opportunities. This individual will partner with key stakeholders across the organization to align revenue goals, investment levels, white glove stewardship cultivation, and monthly touchpoints. This employee will be responsible for managing the preparation of corporate profiles and summary information necessary for informing decision-making. The managing director will work with SVP and VP to partner with department leaders on the cultivation strategies to drive retention, upgrades, and Total Involvement for all DRC members. The role is also responsible for oversight of renewals and retention. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and organization, ability to drive deadlines in a heavy process functional area, in a fast-paced environment. Provides support to the team at a variety of signature events and member experiences.
This employee supports all affiliates of the DRC as required. The employee’s primary duty is the performance of non-manual work directly related to the business operations of the DRC and its affiliates. This work is directly related to achieving the revenue goals within the DRC. This position must exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance including (i) program development to maximize the Member experience and (ii) Member consultation. Additionally, this position requires skills involving business development and data analysis.
Reporting Structure
This individual will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Member Engagement and assist with overall operations of this team.

Key Responsibilities

- With the direction of the SVP of Membership, this individual will lead the development of an enhanced holistic membership engagement strategy to drive revenue and loyalty of our investors. This will include supporting the team and coaching peers based on the operational and tactical plans.
- Leads the coordination of Membership department initiatives on the overall execution of cultivation, upgrade and retention strategies and tactics, current sponsorship offerings, and event attendance for members across the DRC in alignment with Marketing, Finance, and each priority department.
- Serves as a co-lead on the sponsorship scope of work for the department in ensuring alignment of the coordination of the DRC sponsorship program, working across all DRC departments to identify opportunities and needs for support of events and programs and communicating these opportunities to members. Co-management of tactics for the membership department includes pitches, total involvement meetings with members, coordination of invoicing and delivery of sponsor benefits and member experience to drive revenue and retention.
- Proactively works with SVP and VP to enhance a coordinated outreach and communication strategy for the DRC organization-wide and deepen the engagement within each Member company.
- Champions the partnership with key stakeholders such as the office of the CEO, the Events team, Marketing and priority departments to structure the delivery of a communications plan and high-impact events offered as benefits to investors.
- Serves as a resource to the Membership team in reference to communication cadence and assets based on a prioritization calendar for our Tier I, II, and III Members.
- Responsible for oversight and execution of tactics of the membership renewals process, requiring a high level of attention to detail, project management and high sense of urgency. This role will secure and drive overall revenue and retention with a focus on quality and relationship management.
- Participates actively as a key team member to specific accounts, primarily focused on Tier I and Tier II members. Coordinates the overall Membership engagement strategy inclusive of retention, renewals, reactivation, and onboarding new members, year-round to identify company needs and total investment opportunities.
- Will serve as a key role and bridge between the Leadership Programs department and membership department to drive and support sponsorship follow up, integration of members into our larger engagement strategy, and manage administrative components inclusive of CRM data input and invoicing.
- Provides member consultation as needed and actively participates in the stewardship process of top investor member companies.
- Works with DRC staff and key volunteers to ensure they are well prepared for meetings with members and that all opportunities are presented.
- Spearheads continuous improvement via a data driven approach through the development of dashboards, analytical tools, and leveraging our CRM. Adopts a learning mindset to develop innovative ways to integrate technology and tools in service to our members for invoicing, payment portals, and communication channels while driving member loyalty and satisfaction. Partners closely with VP of membership, finance, business intelligence.
- Represents the DRC at corporate and community events.
- Maintains the accuracy and integrity of the membership database and actively participates in and endorses the adoption of the DRC’s new CRM platform and tools.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree required; or four to six years related experience in business development, customer service, and marketing and/or training.
- Professional and comprehensive experience in an applicable field and/or with an organization that is similar in mission and activities to the DRC.
