The Patient Account Registrar collaborates closely with the Admitting team and communicates effectively with patients across all age groups.

Responsibilities
- Interview patients or authorized representatives to gather accurate demographic and insurance information
- Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and required authorizations
- Enter and retrieve patient data using computerized systems
- Communicate clearly with patients using age-appropriate techniques across all life stages
- Support Admitting department operations, including reception, PBX functions, and special assignments
- Previous hospital experience as an admissions representative preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize needs to meet required timelines.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Customer Services experience required.
- High School Graduate or GED Equivalent Required (effective 4/1/14 for all new hires).
