What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coordinator II - Child Find (226 Days) Multiple Positions position at Dallas Independent School District?
- Manage the accuracy and reliability of program data, analyze trends, and create reports as requested by the Supervisor and/or Director to assist with decision-making, program evaluation, and compliance
- Prepare reports on TEA initiatives, Results Driven Accountability (RDA) and State Performance Plan Indicators (SPPI) which will be used to track and maintain compliance in an effort to prevent corrective actions.
- Manage the MTSS verification process to ensure timely processing of initial referrals for special education evaluation.
- Collaborate with supervisors to create and deliver professional development to improve staff knowledge and skills in evaluation as well as inform stakeholders on processes related to evaluation
- Provide technical assistance to campus personnel on the special education tracking system, child find intake referral process, missed ARDs, records requests, etc.
- Monitor inquiries regarding evaluation through the district’s communication platform and forward these inquiries to the appropriate evaluation personnel
- Confer regularly with Supervisor to discuss trends that may suggest the need for revised procedures
- Maintain required accountability documentation to document support activities
- Establish an inventory protocol system to ensure the evaluation staff have the necessary supplies and equipment to complete their work.
- Comply with all state and federal rules, laws, policies, and guidelines related to special education
- Establish collaborative relationships with campus staff, administrators, parents, and external agencies
- Maintain professional competency by keeping abreast of current trends in evaluation, instructional strategies, ethics, and special education laws
- Engage in professional behaviors that reflect integrity, accountability, and moral standards
- Required Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university
- Preferred Master’s Degree from an accredited university
- Preferred Valid Texas teaching certification in a public or private school setting with Special Education endorsement
- Required 3-5 Direct experience "Minimum of three years’ experience in a public or private school setting with Special Education or related experience"
- Proficiency in utilizing the district software and technology to create documents, analyze data, and write reports from the data, etc.
- Strong communication, organization, and computer literacy skills are required for success
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral formats
- Strong organizational skills and attention to details required to meet the goals of the position
- Excellent interpersonal skills, work ethic, and a collaborative work style
- Capable of creating and delivering presentations to groups of all sizes on various topics using the latest technology.
- Ability to develop action plans, procedures, and strategies to effectively facilitate program goals.
- Knowledge of state and federal special education laws
