Role Description

This person will accomplish multiple tasks in a timely manner; providing support for Banquets and Audio Visual whenever needed, while maintaining a flawless experience by executing quickly and efficiently for our members. Daily inspections for following day set-ups meet the exact specifications of the BEO, as well as keeping meeting space and pre-function areas presentable. Ensuring the completion of any checklists submitted throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities
- Accessibility to staff throughout their shift.
- Have working knowledge on all club amenities, including audio visual components.
- Coordinate room set ups taking into consideration flow, entrances, exits and guest preference
- Monitor pre-function interior and exterior space for cleanliness
- Walk all Banquet area’s inside and out at the beginning of the shift before guest arrival for correct set-up.
- Communicate with Maintenance on any needs or issues throughout the Club.
- Communicate with Banquet Captains and Catering for any changes to the BEO and Setup.
- Daily exchange of information with Director of Catering, Banquet Manager, and Banquet Captains.
- Complete tasks assigned by Banquet Captains throughout the shift, including help with the front of house when needed.
The ideal candidate will have the following experience, skills, and knowledge:
- Two years of previous Banquet Setup/Houseman experience preferred
- Comprehend reading materials, speak, read and write English
- Neat in appearance and well-groomed
- Maintain proper associate uniform standards and footwear which is slip resistant and polished
The ideal candidate will have the following competencies and qualities:
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- To ensure superior service and sanitation standards, all rooms and tabletop utensils must be detailed and presentable prior to every function
- Make sure all equipment is in working order for the department
- Being active in preventative maintenance around the club requires problem solving abilities.
- Maintain a clean, safe and environmentally responsible work environment
- Must be able to interact with co-workers and have a sense of TEAM.
