Position Overview
The Dallas Bulls are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Media Relations Assistant to support the media relations team in managing communications, press activities, and media outreach. This role is key to ensuring smooth coordination between the team and media outlets, helping to maintain a positive public image.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting and distributing press releases, media advisories, and official statements.
- Coordinate and schedule press conferences, interviews, and media events.
- Maintain and update media contact lists and databases.
- Monitor media coverage and compile daily media reports for the communications team.
- Support the media relations team in preparing materials such as press kits and talking points.
- Respond to routine media inquiries and direct complex requests to appropriate staff.
- Help manage the team’s media credentials and access during games and events.
- Assist with special projects and communications initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience in media relations, communications, or public affairs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and media monitoring tools.
- Ability to work flexible hours including game days and special events.
