GENERAL OBJECTIVES
The main purpose of the Campus Security Officer is to carry out the goals of the department in providing a safe environment for the DBU community.
Qualifications
Campus Security Officers are responsible for the safety and security of the faculty, staff, students and guests of the university. The officer is responsible to carry out the duties listed below under the direct command of the Campus Security Director.
DUTIES
Securing and unlocking doors, traffic enforcement, escort services, parking violations, foot patrols of parking areas, apartments, townhomes, athletic complexes and surrounding wooded areas, and any other duty deemed necessary by the Director of Campus Security or the appointed supervisor. This list is not inclusive.
WORK SCHEDULE
There are three operating shifts within the department. Each officer will be assigned a shift based on seniority and class schedule.
WORK LOCATION
This position will work on the main campus, located at 3000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211

- Current student or alumni of DBU.
- Previous experience in public safety and or public service.
- Clean driving record.
- No guilty conviction on a Class B Misdemeanor or above.
- A life devoted to Christ.

- Must be a Christian who is a member of a church that holds Jesus Christ to be their Lord and Savior, and who holds solely the Old Testament and the New Testament as sacred Scriptures.
