What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPC- Associate (Part-Time) position at Dallas Baptist University?

GENERAL OBJECTIVES:
The Counselor will assist in maintaining the overall purpose of the Counseling Center by meeting with clients weekly. The Counselor may be asked to lead support groups or counsel couples as well as individuals. The Counselor will discuss many issues with students, including but not limited to, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, relational problems, anger, addiction, identity issues, self-esteem, sexual abuse, or grief.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a master’s degree in a related Counseling field.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Meet with clients 20 hours per week.
- Meet with the Director of Counseling and Spiritual Care once a week for required supervision to meet the requirements of the Counseling Board.
- Uphold the utmost integrity in confidentiality of clients.
- Keep confidential and relevant notes for every session with clients.
- Assist with mental health emergencies when the Director or Counseling Center Coordinator are not available.
- Ensure clients complete the CCAPS 62 every semester they are in counseling.
- Occasionally assist in Counseling Center events which may include speaking or helping to coordinate plans for the event in conjunction with the Counseling Center Coordinator
WORK SCHEDULE:
The counselor will work 25 hours per week, but occasionally flexible hours will be required.
