What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Project Manager position at Dallas Baptist University?
PURPOSE: The Project Manager will provide leadership and oversight in University Housing at DBU for students in the Residence Halls on campus to ensure clear communication throughout the year.
GENERAL OBJECTIVES:
- Supervision and Oversight with administrative office tasks
- Upkeep of Residence Hall facility
- Student Discipline, Retention, Safety and Counseling
- Develop/Evaluate Residence Life Programming
QUALIFICATIONS:
The Administrative Project Manager should be a Christian and have a desire to mentor college students. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, but in-progress will be accepted.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as the liaison formally and informally with other departments in Student Affairs.
- Manage budgets by preparing and carefully recording all expenditures and expenses for the Resident Halls.
- Maintain scheduling of events and represent Housing when needed.
- Improve operational management systems, processes, and best practices.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of University Housing and VP of Student Affairs.
- Manage room assignments, process room requests and maintain housing charts.
- Utilize StarRez to maintain student housing records.
- Facilitate any needed updates through the StarRez application for the upcoming school years for the Resident Halls and Upperclassman.
- Supervise and manage resident check-in and check-out system.
- Maintain Residence Hall key system.
- Attend weekly staff meetings and student retention meetings.
- Serve on committees as assigned; provide tours of facilities to prospective students and/or their parents.
- Facilitate any needed updates through the StarRez application for the upcoming school years for the Residence Halls and Upperclassman Housing.
- Serve as the liaison formally and informally with other departments in Student Affairs, such as Athletics, International Department, etc.
Upkeep of Residence Hall Facility:
- Coordinate and maintain proper room inventories.
- Maintain appearance of Residence Halls.
- Communicate Residence Hall maintenance requests and urgent needs to Physical Operations.
WORK SCHEDULE:
The Administrative Project Manager is required to work forty hours per week in the University Housing office between 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday – Friday.
WORK LOCATION:
This position will work on the main campus, located at 3000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211
Qualifications:
- Must be a Christian who is a member of a church that holds Jesus Christ to be their Savior and Lord, and who holds solely the Old Testament and the New Testament as sacred Scriptures.
