TITLE: Substitute Teacher-2025-2026 School Year
REPORTS TO: Principal and Head of School
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Dallas Academy is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic substitute teacher to join our team. As a substitute teacher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining continuity and providing a positive learning experience for students in the absence of regular classroom teachers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Texas Teaching Certification (preferred)
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in education or related field with a 3.0 or higher GPA
- Proof of ongoing professional or educational experience with students with Learning Differences
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Experience and skilled in utilization of computer/technology literacy-Interactive White Boards, Laptops, iPads, Apps, etc.
- Experience and skilled with the Microsoft platform and applications (preferred)
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implement lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Manage classroom behavior and ensure a productive learning atmosphere
- Provide assistance and support to students as needed
- Collaborate with school staff to ensure a smooth transition for students
- Performs other job-related responsibilities as per the Principal.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
All employees of Dallas Academy are at-will employees. This is a 1099 contract position.
