CONCRETE FINISHER FOREMAN
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the training and quality control to have the production field crew function at the highest level. Manages and organizes the production job site to maximize efficiency for crew time management as well as keeping adequate logs, paperwork, and costs to a functioning standard. Keeps crew personnel trained on product data, proper procedures, and final project completeness quality. Is responsible for installation of given projects according to quality standards and job specifications.
Manages concrete crew, ensures equipment and products are safe and functional, and that job schedules are maintained. Supports the management and mission of the company.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Communicate with project’s point of contact (Homeowner / Project Manager).
a. Keeping updated daily logs complete and accurate in Buildertrend daily
b. Keep updated photos in Buildertrend daily.
c. Informing homeowner of any changes to the scope of work of their project
d. Discussing projected outcomes and expectations for the project
2. Communicate with office point of contact (Project Scheduler and/or Production Manager)
a. Verify that crew’s time clocks are accurate to federal standards
b. Informing of any material and/or equipment that is needed to complete project
c. Turning in all company credit card receipts
d. Turning in Job Folders at completion of a project
3. Capable of operating all equipment in a safe manner to complete project to a satisfactory condition.
4. Manage crew efficiency and productivity
a. Direct and train new crew members to ensure crew success
b. Educate self and crew on equipment/tool usage and safety procedures
c. Educate self and crew on product/tool knowledge
d. Ability to maintain production schedule
5. Completing safety/accident requirements
a. Maintain safety logs
b. Maintain injury reports
c. Maintain accident reports
6. Understanding of the permitting process
a. Scheduling of appropriate engineering inspections
b. Scheduling of appropriate city/county inspections
c. Maintaining proper paperwork and logs for inspections
d. Completing project to city approved final inspection
7. Assists sales and other employees with technical aspects of system installations.
8. Collaborates with Production manager to create efficiencies related to production activities.
9. Regular and punctual attendance.
10. Ability to legally drive a motor vehicle and approved by Company’s insurance.
11. Having to operate the company’s vehicle in a safe manner for the Ride Share Program.
INDIVIDUAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. CONCRETE
a. Layout area of repair
b. Locate all utilities in area of work
c. Protect surrounding work area
d. Remove vegetation, existing concrete, or soil as needed
e. Form areas for concrete pour
f. Install steel as needed or required
g. Schedule city/deputy/engineer inspection, if applicable
h. Schedule concrete delivery
i. Schedule concrete pump, if applicable
j. Pour concrete with desired finish
k. Remove forms
l. Clean up job site
NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, and TALENTS:
1. Expert in Flat Work Concrete Finishing, Block Walls and Footings.
2. Skill in operating personal computer and programs such as Buildertrend and other business software.
3. Skill in logic and math.
4. Ability to interpret complex information or instructions into understandable job specifications, measurements, instructions and standards.
5. Ability to communicate with subordinates about job generalities and specifics—to give instruction.
6. Ability to motivate, guide and direct others to produce expected production outcomes.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly or to move objects. Ability to stand, bend and kneel for long periods.
