We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Roofing Superintendent to lead and oversee roofing projects from start to finish. Position will be predominately daytime work but night time work may be required on a project by project basis.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all phases of commercial roofing projects, including installation, repair, and restoration work.
- Coordinate daily activities of roofing crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely project completion.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project plans.
- Oversee the use of hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and heavy equipment while maintaining safety standards.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality control, and adherence to safety regulations.
- Manage construction estimating tasks related to roofing materials and labor costs.
- Ensure proper use of construction materials such as metal studs, stucco, caulking, tile laying, masonry, welding, framing carpentry, and other related trades.
- Maintain detailed documentation including daily reports, safety logs, change orders, and project schedules.
- Collaborate with clients to address concerns promptly and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating within the roofing or general construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of roofing systems along with experience in installation techniques involving various materials such as metal roofing or membrane systems.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, heavy lifting equipment, and fabrication processes.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Experience with related trades such as carpentry (trim carpentry), masonry, plumbing (for roof drainage), welding (metal work), stucco application or restoration work is highly desirable.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to coordinate multiple teams effectively.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and team members.
