Assistant Controller

A rapidly growing food and beverage distributer is seeking an Assistant Controller to join their team! As the Assistant Controller you will report directly into the VP of Finance and be responsible for month-end close, financial reporting, AP/AR, payroll and inventory accounting. This opportunity is onsite 5 days/week and will offer up to $150,000 on a base excellent benefits!

Responsibilities:

• Manage the General ledger systems & Month-end/year-end close processes
• Financial reporting and consolidations
• Accounts receivable/payable, payroll, inventory accounting
• Assist in developing and maintaining internal controls
• Ensure compliance with tax filings, audits, and financial regulations
  
  

Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree in Accounting, CPA required
• 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience 2-3 years within a managerial role, preferably in the Wholesale/food and beverage industry
• Well versed in inventory accounting
• Proficiency in ERP systems: Microsoft 365 Dynamics
• Advanced Excel skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
