We are seeking a senior-level Technical Project Manager to lead a high-impact initiative focused on replacing the content management system (CMS) backend across multiple platforms, including the organization's public website, intranet, and internal Tech Studio, with additional components planned.
This role is highly technical and will be responsible for driving execution across internal IT teams and external vendors, while partnering closely with communications leadership as the primary stakeholder group. The ideal candidate is proactive, resilient, and experienced in managing complex, global projects with strong executive visibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of a large-scale CMS backend replacement project across multiple platforms.
- Coordinate efforts between internal IT teams (approx. 5 core members), external vendors, and a broader cross-functional team of ~40 technical contributors.
- Partner closely with the communications team, serving as the primary reporting line and stakeholder group.
- Drive project planning, execution, timelines, risk management, and communication across all workstreams.
- Proactively manage and engage executive-level stakeholders, ensuring alignment, visibility, and timely decision-making.
- Maintain and track project artifacts including task plans, risk logs, status updates, and documentation using Microsoft Teams and Asana.
- Ensure consistent communication and follow-up across teams and time zones, including reviewing off-hours updates and maintaining momentum.
- Actively identify and resolve blockers, ensuring the project stays on track and key milestones are met.
- 8 years of experience as a Senior-level Technical Project Manager with proven experience leading large-scale, complex IT initiatives.
- Hands-on experience implementing or replacing enterprise Content Management Systems (CMS), ideally across multiple platforms.
- Demonstrated success managing global projects with distributed teams across time zones.
- Strong ability to influence and manage executive stakeholders, particularly in fast-paced, high-expectation environments.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and highly engagedable to drive projects forward rather than passively monitor progress.
- Experience coordinating internal teams and third-party vendors in a technical environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Teams and Asana for project tracking, communication, and documentation.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, push through challenges, and maintain ownership of project outcomes.
