Property Manager for Rental Properties

Duties

• Manage daily operations of rental properties, including leasing, rent collection, and tenant relations
• Oversee lease or rental agreement management to ensure compliance with legal standards and company policies
• Coordinate property maintenance and facilities management to maintain high standards of property condition and safety
• Utilize property management tools such as Yardi, OneSite, and CMMS to track data entry, financials, and work orders
• Handle conflict management and resolve tenant disputes efficiently while maintaining positive relationships
• Ensure adherence to Fair Housing regulations, Landlord-tenant law, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and Section 8 guidelines
• Conduct regular property inspections, oversee repairs, and manage vendor relationships for maintenance services
• Prepare budgets, monitor expenses, and assist with financial reporting to optimize property profitability
• Lead a team of staff or leasing agents through effective team management practices and training
• Communicate effectively with clients through phone etiquette, client communication strategies, and upselling opportunities

Qualifications

• Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles with knowledge of lease or rental agreement management
• Familiarity with property management software such as Quickbooks, Tenant Cloud or similar tools
• Strong understanding of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, LIHTC compliance, and Section 8 programs
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle conflict management professionally
• Office experience including data entry, filing systems, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), Quickbooks and customer relationship management (CRM) tools
• Demonstrated ability in negotiation and contract management within a property management context
• Experience in facilities management or property maintenance coordination is highly desirable
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in budgeting, record keeping, and administrative tasks
• Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining high levels of professionalism and communication
