  • Maintain accurate accounting records in QuickBooks and other financial systems.
  • Prepare and process checks, ACH payments, wire transfers, and related transactions in accordance with established approval procedures.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial transactions, researching and resolving discrepancies.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities, financial reporting, and audit preparation.
  • Coordinate purchase orders, vendor documentation, and invoice discrepancies with purchasing and operations.

ERP Systems & Process Improvement

  • Support the implementation and ongoing use of our ERP system, including data migration, testing, transaction accuracy, and user support.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify financial processes, strengthen internal controls, and improve data accuracy and reporting.
  • Help establish and maintain consistent procedures, documentation, and workflows as the business grows.

Business & Compliance Support

  • Assist with contract administration, project billing, and tracking financial documentation.
  • Support sales and use tax documentation, exemption certificates, 1099 preparation, and requests from external accountants.
  • Work closely with operations, purchasing, and leadership to resolve financial questions and keep business activities moving.

What We're Looking For

Required

  • 3 years of hands-on accounting, bookkeeping, or finance operations experience.
  • Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial recordkeeping.
  • Experience using accounting software or ERP systems.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and comfort working with financial data.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, investigate discrepancies, and work independently.
  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent relevant experience.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • QuickBooks experience.
  • Experience participating in an ERP implementation, system migration, or process improvement initiative.
  • Exposure to manufacturing, construction, or project-based accounting.
