Position: Property Manager (Vantry Management)

Dalan is excited to hire a Property Manager responsible for property operations across Dalan’s newly formed third-party management and receivership platform, Vantry Management. Vantry manages multifamily residential properties for outside owners, lenders, and courts across New York, Arizona and Texas. This is an entrepreneurial role as much as an operating one. The ideal candidate takes pride in the quality of their work, demonstrates a collaborative mindset, communicates proactively, and maintains strong organizational skills. This role reports directly to the Director, Property Management (Vantry) and will be based in Dalan’s New York office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations across owned, third-party managed, and receivership assets, including maintenance, leasing, collections, capital improvements, and resident relations.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for ownership groups, lenders, receivers, and other stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and execution of property-level business plans.
• Lead property-level budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, including monthly budget variance analyses, collections, occupancy, cash flow, and operational updates.
• Oversee new management and receivership transitions, including property takeovers, operational stabilization, and the transfer and reconciliation of rent rolls, tenant ledgers, leases, vendor contracts, and financial records.
• Coordinate with ownership, lenders, receivers, and legal counsel to satisfy applicable reporting requirements, execute approved business plans, protect collateral value, and identify opportunities to improve operational and financial performance.
• Conduct regular property inspections, oversee maintenance and capital projects, competitively bid service contracts, and ensure compliance with applicable DOB, FDNY, HPD, and other regulatory requirements.
• Monitor rent collections and delinquencies, coordinate with legal counsel on enforcement actions, and oversee resident move-ins, move-outs, renewals, and vacant-unit turnovers to maximize property performance.
• Develop, mentor, and manage building staff and third-party vendors, ensuring operational efficiency, accountability, and excellent resident service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of previous property management experience in a managerial role, preferably in New York City.
• Customer service driven.
• Strong knowledge of building mechanics and repairs.
• Innovative, with a desire for continual improvement and passion to be best in class.
• Ability to multitask and be well organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent work-ethic and supervisory skills.
• Strong written and verbal communications.

Compensation/Benefits

• Salary Range $100,000 – $125,000 based on experience.
• Benefits package (401k, Health, Dental, Vision, Transit).
• Eligible for a discretionary year-end bonus based on individual, platform, and Company performance.
• Eligible for a new business incentive compensation on management assignments sourced directly by the employee and engaged by the Company, paid on realized management fees under a separate written agreement.
