Position: Property Manager
Dalan is excited to hire a Property Manager responsible for overseeing operations for a portfolio of buildings in NYC. The ideal candidate takes pride in the quality of their work, demonstrates a collaborative mindset, communicates proactively, and maintains strong organizational skills. This role reports directly to the Senior Director, Property Management and will be based in Dalan’s New York office.
Responsibilities
· Oversee operations including maintenance, capital improvements and collections.
· Participate in budgeting, forecasting, reporting, renewals, service contracts and
overseeing maintenance staff.
· Provide excellent customer service and communication to all residents to enhance
customer satisfaction.
· Develop, mentor, lead and manage a high-performing, cohesive building staff in
order to maximize asset value.
· Conduct weekly building inspections of common areas, roofs, and base building
mechanical rooms to ensure buildings are maintained at the highest level.
· Monthly budget variance reporting.
· Review and competitively bid service contracts.
· Assist in overseeing capital projects.
· Ensuring buildings are fully compliant with DOB, FDNY, HPD, etc.
· Conduct weekly building inspections of common areas, roofs, and base building
mechanical rooms to ensure buildings are maintained at the highest level.
· Closely monitoring and pursuing rent collections throughout each month and
recommending legal action to ownership for residents in arrears.
· Oversee the end-to-end process of resident move-ins, move-outs, and unit turnovers.
Qualifications
· Minimum 2-4 years of previous property management experience in a managerial role, preferably in New York City.
· Customer service driven.
· Strong knowledge of building mechanics and repairs.
· Innovative, with a desire for continual improvement and passion to be best in class.
· Ability to multitask and be well organized in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent work-ethic and supervisory skills.
· Strong written and verbal communications.
