Water Treatment Operator 6:45pm - 7am 2-2-3 shift (D)
Job Functions
Perform routine water quality testing for parameters such aspH,and turbidity, to ensure compliance with plant standards.
Monitor and adjust chemical amounts to ensure proper chemical use.
Use safe handling procedures to move and replace empty chemical containersusing a forklift.
Maintain, and conduct minor repairs on water treatment equipment and distribution infrastructure to ensure a continuous supply of water.
Prepare detailed reports andmaintainrecords of water quality data, equipment maintenance schedules, and any corrective actions taken to address system deficiencies.
Maintain a clean andsafe work environment.
Work with shift leaders to ensure water quality and volume meets their needs.
Communicate daily with managementonwater treatment conditions.
Respondto andtroubleshoot water quality deficiencies, help develop plans and Standard Operating Procedures to prevent deficiencies in the future.
Climb ladders to access top of tanks to inspect water conditions and chemical delivery systems.
Monitor and usecomputer interfaces tooperatewater systems.
