Monday - Friday 6:30am - 3:00pm
Dal-Tile is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our TEAM! As the MaintenanceTechnicianwe need someone who canmake adjustments tomachines and equipment for proper operation.
Primary Objective
Performs complex mechanical duties and a variety of electrical trade functions in the installation, maintenance,repairand/or distribution of electrical energy. Installs,maintainsand replaces electronic programmable controllers in a manufacturing environment.
Major Function and Scope
Trouble shoot PLCs (Programmable Logic Controller) usinghand helddevice or laptop.
Design and redesignprogramand software (PLCs, operator panels,etc).
Format hard drives and install to the computers (Computer Setup) and PCapplication
Installs,maintainsor repairs equipment for the generation,distributionorutilizationof electrical energy in a manufacturing environment.
Locates anddiagnosistrouble in electrical systems or equipment working fromblue prints, drawings,layoutsor other specifications.
Worksstandard computations related to load requirements of wiring and/or electrical equipment.
Knowledge of Serial port communication systems, VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives) and process control instrumentation devices (thermocouples, pressure switches,etc).
Knowledge of Servomotors and drive units.
Continuously reviewing their respectiveareafor ideas and thoughts that will drive productivity and reduce costs within the organization and be able to professionally speak to their solution for improvement.
Process improvement (Plan andsubmitprocess improvements and execute the plan)
Uses a variety ofelectricianstools including measuring and testing instruments.

Leads projects and completes them successfully, returning equipment to production operating safely and efficiently.
Keepsworkarea safe,cleanand organized.
Performs Other Related Duties Asrequired.
Experience and Knowledge Required
High school diploma or equivalent experience. Knowledge of electrical code.
Associatedegree in industrial electronics preferred.
4 or moreyearsindustrial maintenance experience and 2yearsindustrial electrical experience. Formal PCL trainingpreferred.
Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office)
Competencies
Ability to read blueprints. Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems andPLCs. Ability to score 80% or better on the Industrial Maintenance exam. Ability to read and understand procedures in English. Ability to test motors and electrical circuits using a voltmeter and amp meter. In depth knowledge of LGV equipment and operation.
