Dal-Tile is currently seeking an exceptionallocalTruck Driverto join our TEAM! As theTruck Driverwe need someone whodeliver customer orders.This position involves daily use of forkliftand/or crane forklift equipment.
Primary Objective
Delivers customer orders and supports warehouse function in conjunction with delivery activities.
Major Function and Scope
- Delivers and unloads product orders at designatedcountertop locations, customers and job sites.
- Processes delivery paperwork and COD payments.
- Maintains driving record truck log.
- Ensures routine truck maintenance is performed.
- Performs necessary warehouse tasks in conjunction with deliveries such as pulling/assembling orders and loading delivery truck.
- Provides assistance towarehouse staff in performing normal warehouse duties such as unloading and storing of inbound material and shipping tasks.
- Operates forklift equipment.
- May take and enter customer orders as needed.
- Maintains a safe working environment by obeying all safety rules as outlined in the Safety Program and by reporting all accidents, unsafe conditions and acts to Management.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Experience and Knowledge Required
- HS diploma or equivalent experience; CDL preferred (Commercial Drivers License); must be a Certified Forklift Operator.
- 3 years previous truck driving experience preferred.
