Dal-Tile is currently seeking an expert Material Handler to join our TEAM! As a veteran Material Handler, we need someone that is ready to operate all equipment utilized in the distribution center like the Reach Truck, Cherry Picker, Sit-Down Forklift and Electric Pallet Jack.
Primary Objective
- Operates various powered industrial trucks to pick customer orders and conveys orders to packing station or shipping area.
- Major Function and Scope
- Operates various powered industrial trucks to pick customer orders and conveys orders to packing station or shipping area
- Operates order picker equipment or stand-up forklift to assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets.
- Keys orders into Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Verifies stock availability and audits orders for accuracy.
- Conveys picked orders to packing station or shipping area.
- Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor.
- Follows standard operating and safety procedures.
- Keeps area safe, clean and organized.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Experience and Knowledge Required
- High School diploma or equivalent experience; Certified Sit-Down Forklift Operator
- 3 or more years previous distribution/warehouse experience. Must have a minimum of 6 months previous stand-up forklift or order picker equipment experience.
