Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for coating by cleaning, sanding, or masking using hand tools and power tools to ensure optimal adhesion.
- Operate airless paint spraying equipment and other industrial painting machinery with precision to achieve smooth, even finishes.
- Load and unload materials using forklifts, cranes, or other materials handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect finished products using precision measuring instruments and visual assessments to verify coating quality and consistency.
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment, adhering to safety protocols and lean manufacturing principles.
- Collaborate with fabrication and assembly teams to coordinate coating schedules and meet production deadlines.
- Perform basic auto body repair techniques when necessary to address surface imperfections before painting.
Requirements
- Prior experience in industrial or construction painting, especially using airless spray systems or powder coating techniques.
- Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing processes, machining, welding, and auto body repair is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate forklifts, cranes, hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments safely.
- Familiarity with materials handling procedures within a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks during the coating process.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices to promote efficiency and waste reduction.
