We are seeking a reliable, hardworking Jet/Vac Operator to join our growing team. This position is responsible for operating jet/vac equipment for underground utility, sewer, stormwater, and pipeline maintenance projects. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, mechanically inclined, dependable, and comfortable working in outdoor environments and physically demanding conditions.
This role may include hydro excavation, line jetting, pipe cleaning, debris removal, and assisting with underground inspection and maintenance projects.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate jet/vac and related equipment on job sites
- Perform sewer, storm, and underground utility cleaning and maintenance
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and complete basic maintenance checks
- Assist with setup, teardown, and general labor duties as needed
- Follow all company safety procedures and DOT regulations
- Communicate effectively with crew members and customers on-site
- Accurately document work completed and report equipment concerns
Qualifications:
- Experience operating jet/vac, hydro vac, vacuum truck, or heavy equipment preferred (training available for the right candidate)
- Valid driver’s license required. Class B CDL required if applicable
- Construction, underground utility, excavation, or mechanical experience preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to safety
