The Role

Are you someone who enjoys technology, solving problems, and figuring out how things work? Dakota Kitchen & Bath is looking for an IT Developer & Systems Support Specialist to join its team in Sioux Falls. This position combines software development, database reporting, and hands-on IT support, giving you the opportunity to work across different areas of the business. What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain internal applications that support business operations.
• Work with databases and SQL to manage information and support reporting needs.
• Create and maintain reports that help employees access useful business information.
• Troubleshoot software, computer, printer, and network connectivity issues.
• Set up computers, configure user accounts, and help employees get the technology they need to do their jobs.
• Assist with user access, networking, Windows systems, and other IT infrastructure.
• Work directly with employees to understand their challenges and develop practical technology solutions.
• Learn new tools and technologies as business needs and systems evolve.

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Education, training, or experience in computer science, software development, information technology, or a related field.
• Some programming experience through work, education, personal projects, or other hands-on learning.
• Basic understanding of databases and SQL, or the ability to demonstrate a strong foundation for learning them.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to ask questions and learn new skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with VB.NET, C#, or another programming language.
• Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.
• Experience creating reports with Crystal Reports or similar reporting tools.
• Familiarity with Visual Studio or other development environments.
• Exposure to Active Directory, computer networking, Windows administration, or user support.
