- Conduct routine inspections to identify leaks, clogs, or malfunctions in irrigation components and resolve issues promptly.
- Adjust sprinkler heads and valves to ensure even water distribution tailored to specific landscape needs.
- Collaborate with landscape maintenance teams to coordinate watering schedules that support healthy lawn care and horticultural practices.
- Operate construction equipment safely when installing new irrigation lines or upgrading existing systems.
- Maintain detailed records of system repairs, installations, and inspections for ongoing maintenance planning.
- Follow safety protocols rigorously while handling tools, machinery, and chemicals involved in irrigation work.
Experience
- Proven experience with irrigation system installation, repair, and maintenance in a landscaping or horticultural setting.
- Mechanical knowledge related to plumbing, pumps, valves, and sprinkler components.
- Familiarity with landscaping principles including lawn care, landscape maintenance, and horticulture best practices.
- Hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment such as excavators.
- Knowledge of land grading, drainage solutions, and general construction techniques is a plus.
- Ability to read technical diagrams and blueprints related to irrigation layouts.
