Role Description The Nursing Instructor is a part-time, on-site Foundations Lab Assistant role based at DCTC, and clinical instruction at a long-term care facility in Bloomington. This position is responsible for assisting with student competencies in the lab setting and clinical instruction in alignment with program outcomes and accreditation standards. The instructor will guide students, develop assessments, and integrate evidence-based nursing and teaching practices. Day-to-day responsibilities include mentoring students, supervising clinical experiences, providing timely feedback, and maintaining accurate records of student performance. The role also involves participating in department meetings, contributing to curriculum and program improvement, collaborating with healthcare partners, and engaging in professional development and college initiatives.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license (Minnesota or eligibility for Minnesota licensure).
- Strong foundation in Nursing and communication skills, with experience as RN holding a BSN.
- Knowledge of Medicine sufficient to support accurate, safe, and current instruction.
