Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and dependable Bus Driver (Coach Operator) to operate motor coaches, mini buses. The ideal candidate will ensure the safe, efficient, and courteous transportation of passengers, including students, paratransit clients, and general public. This role requires excellent driving skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to customer service. Candidates with experience in commercial driving, limousine services, or delivery driving are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities
- Safely operate motor coaches, school buses, paratransit vehicles, and shuttle buses according to traffic laws and company policies.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers with boarding, seating arrangements, and addressing inquiries courteously.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure mechanical safety and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle interior throughout shifts.
- Adhere to scheduled routes and timetables while ensuring passenger safety at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and passengers using clear communication skills.
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic regulations to prevent accidents or violations.
- Assist with minor vehicle maintenance or troubleshooting as needed, demonstrating mechanical knowledge when applicable.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and passenger counts as required.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for bus operations.
- SPAB/School Bus Certified a big plus.
- Must have Air Brakes and Passenger Endorsements.
- Proven experience in bus driving of minimum of 2 years.
- Current Medical Certificate.
- Clean DMV Record
- Strong communication skills in English for effective interaction with passengers and team members.
- Minimal mechanical knowledge relevant to bus maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of paratransit operations and motor coach systems is desirable.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor.
- Ability to operate various types of buses safely under different conditions.

Pay: $250.00 - $310.00 per day
