Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Operator role based in Rapid City, SD. The Operator will oversee and manage the production of biochar using mobile and site-integrated systems. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining equipment, monitoring processes for efficiency and safety, performing site setups and breakdowns, and following safety protocols to ensure smooth operations. Additional duties include collaborating with team members to address technical challenges and ensuring compliance with environmental standards.
Qualifications
- Experience with operating and maintaining equipment, machinery, or related systems
- Familiarity with production processes, safety protocols, and quality control standards
- Mechanical aptitude and hands-on technical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to adapt to on-site conditions and contribute to team-based solutions
- Strong attention to detail, time-management, and organizational skills
- Experience in sustainable agriculture, forestry, or environmental remediation is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or vocational training preferred
- Ability to work on-site in Rapid City, SD and lift/carry materials as required
