Daisy Brand, the national leader in Sour Cream, Cottage Cheese, and Dips is seeking a high-performing Category Advisor to partner directly with Walmart. In this role, you will serve as an unbiased, trusted expert and partner to the Walmart merchandising team, modular, and replenishment teams, among others, leveraging data to drive category goals through the execution of department led strategy in driving growth and profitability for the entire Cultured category at Walmart.
This role is remote, however the candidate must be located in Northwest Arkansas.

Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Advisory: Act as the primary, unbiased advisor to the Walmart merchant team, providing the factual foundation for all category-level decisions
- Modular Lifecycle Management: Lead the modular relay process from end-to-end—translating conceptual strategy into assortment optimization, shelf implementation (modular drawing), and post-reset performance analysis
- Advanced Data Storytelling: Transform complex datasets from Walmart Scintilla and syndicated sources (Circana/Nielsen) into compelling narratives and actionable "selling stories" for weekly and monthly business
- Market Intelligence: Proactively monitor marketplace shifts and competitor dynamics to anticipate shopper needs and optimize the path to purchase
- Cross-Functional Synergy: Foster collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and Walmart’s internal teams to streamline ad-hoc projects and strategic initiatives
- Strategic Communication: Ability to articulate complex data to executive-level stakeholders with clarity and persuasion.
- Agile Problem Solving: Strong time-management skills with the ability to pivot between granular data tasks and high-level strategy.
- Analytical Rigor: A natural curiosity for "the why" behind the numbers, with the ability to identify trends before they become common knowledge.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- Experience: 3–5 years of experience in Category Management or Data Analysis within a CPG or key retailer environment (grocery industry knowledge a plus)
- Technical Skills: Clear understanding of Scintilla and JDA (Blue Yonder/Space Planning). Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Analytical Rigor: Ability to integrate multiple data sources (POS, HH Panel, Loyalty – Syndicated and Walmart data sources) into a cohesive selling story.
