Dairy Queen is looking for a creative, dependable, and detail-oriented Cake Decorator to join our team. This position is responsible for decorating ice cream cakes according to Dairy Queen standards, customer requests, and special occasion themes while maintaining the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and food safety.

The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has an eye for design, and takes pride in creating cakes that make every celebration memorable. For those looking for additional hours, there is also an opportunity to cross-train and work as a Dairy Queen Crew Member, assisting with customer service, food preparation, and other restaurant operations.

Responsibilities

• Decorate Dairy Queen ice cream cakes for birthdays, holidays, graduations, weddings, and other special occasions.
• Create custom cake designs and write personalized messages.
• Maintain high standards for cake appearance, quality, and consistency.
• Prepare cakes for display and customer pickup.
• Keep decorating supplies organized, clean, and well-stocked.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and Dairy Queen operating procedures.
• Assist customers with cake orders and answer questions about cake options.
• Monitor inventory of decorating supplies and communicate ordering needs.
• Help with general restaurant duties as needed, including customer service and cleaning.
• Cross-train as a Crew Member if interested in additional hours, helping with front counter, drive-thru, food preparation, and guest service.

Qualifications

• Previous cake decorating experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
• Artistic ability with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Friendly, positive attitude with outstanding customer service skills.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work in a refrigerated environment when necessary.
• Availability to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Willingness to learn other restaurant positions is a plus for those interested in additional hours.
